This high-density solution allows for the transport of 16 channels of composite video over a single fiber optic cable, housed in a compact 1RU 19″ rack mount transmitter and receiver. Ideal for both single-mode (up to 20 km) and multi-mode (up to 3000 ft) fiber, it extends the life of existing security equipment by enabling the use of standard composite video cameras over high-speed fiber networks.

The Thor Fiber system employs advanced 10-bit digital encoding, similar to that used in broadcast transmitters, but in a more cost-effective chassis. It supports not only video but also data, Ethernet, telephone, or audio transmission within the same unit. Standard single-mode optics are included, with options for special wavelength optics and extended power outputs available for long-distance needs up to 120 km.
