Thor RF CATV Mini Optical Receiver

The Thor RF CATV Mini Optical Receiver is a compact solution designed for use with the Thor F-RF transmitter system. It efficiently converts fiber input to CATV RF output ranging from 45-870 MHz.

This mini receiver is ideal for transporting and distributing CATV RF signals over fiber optic cables. The system converts RF signals to optical signals, which can then be distributed to multiple endpoints or extended over 20 miles using a single-mode fiber optic cable. Perfect for situations where full-size rackmount receivers aren’t needed, this mini receiver offers a cost-effective endpoint solution.

Featuring adjustable RF output levels, it can drive multiple displays and comes with a durable external power supply. Additionally, these units can be used to create low-cost “Fiber Breaks,” ensuring RF signals pass in only one direction, which is crucial for high-level data security. Without an RF return path, the system remains secure from data extraction over an RF line.
