<p>The F-Micro-SDI transmitter and receiver kit is designed for transporting HD-SDI and SD-SDI digital broadcast video signals over fiber cable. It also provides one channel of RS-485 control data over a return path from the receiver back to the transmitter, making it ideal for professional applications.</p>
<p>This 1-channel Micro HD/SD-SDI Fiber Optic Extender supports both single-mode and multimode fiber optic cables. While traditional SDI is limited to around 100 meters over coax cable, Thor SDI extenders use lasers to extend this range to over 80 miles, ensuring reliable long-distance transmission.</p>
<p>The TX/RX kit (Model: F-M1SDI-TX/RX) with ST/PC connectors supports single-mode fiber up to 20Km or 2000 feet over multimode fiber. It’s super-easy to use and supports SMPTE 424M, 292M, and 259M standards, as well as ASI and MADI audio. With an operating range from 5Mbps to 1.5Gbps, it’s compatible with most professional digital serial communications.</p>
<p>These single-channel SDI fiber links are compact and suitable for various applications, including broadcasting cameras and high-end security systems. The RS-485 serial data channel is perfect for controlling pan, tilt, and zoom functions at the camera mount, simplifying cabling needs.</p>
<p>Thor F-Micro-SDI fiber optic transmitters and receivers feature locking ST fiber connectors and BNC video cables to prevent accidental disconnection. Adapter jumpers are available for different fiber connector types upon request. Options for single-mode or multimode fiber and various transmitter power levels are also available.</p>
<p>Standard units come with ST/PC (UPC) fiber connectors, but we can implement other types like SC, FC, or LC to suit your needs.</p>

The transmitter, F-1MSDI-L-2TX, includes an extra loop-out SDI connector for monitoring and additional screening. Its matching receiver, F-1MSDI-L-2RX, provides two SDI outputs, making it easy to redistribute a primary fiber cable into two SDI outputs.</p>
<p>This unit supports HD or SD-SDI transmission according to SMPTE 424M-2006, 292, and 259 standards, with or without embedded audio and data, as well as DVB-ASI over single-mode or multimode fiber. Signals are equalized and re-clocked before fiber optic transmission. The transmitter features a re-clocked and equalized SDI loop-through, while the receiver offers two re-clocked and equalized SDI outputs. Both the transmitter and receiver are required for operation.</p>
<p>The F-1MSDI-L-2Tx/Rx Series complies with SMPTE 297-2006 and is immune to pathological signals across the entire budget link and operating temperature range. Please note that the item comes with ST connectors, but different connectors can be ordered as a special request. The base model supports single-mode fiber up to 20 km and includes an ST/PC connector.</p>

This versatile kit allows you to extend HD-SDI or SD-SDI signals, 10/100 Ethernet, and RS data/analog audio over a single strand of fiber, whether singlemode or multimode.</p>
<p>Capable of transporting up to eight full-rate HD-SDI digital video signals at 1.5 Gbps each, along with full-duplex 10/100 Ethernet, this kit supports distances up to 20, 40, or 80 km. Dual Aux ports enhance capacity by supporting up to 4 analog bi-directional audio channels, 2 full-duplex RS-232/422/485 links, or 4 contact closure lines per Aux interface. The transmitter inputs are compatible with any serial digital signal up to HD-SDI, including SD-SDI or DVB-ASI digital video signals.</p>
<p>Each of the 8 HD-SDI signals is fully isolated and operates at a full 1.5 Gbps data rate, carrying its own embedded audio and ancillary data. This is achieved using TDM technology, ensuring each channel functions independently as if it were the sole signal on the fiber.</p>
<p>The 8-channel platform offers the same 5-pin Aux port custom signal options as the two and four-channel units, with doubled functionality through 2 independent Aux links. Customize for 4-channel bi-directional or unidirectional audio, 1 or 2 duplex RS-232/422 links, or 4 line contact closures.</p>
